Paul Grant Images What can be said about Paul Grant. His photos have been showcased on his own site 330images.com for the last three or four years. His efforts have been noticed by such artistic peers as Jim Jannard and Larry Pfister, as well as being published in many newspapers and promo posters. His work makes my work look almost laughable. The artistry, focus, originality, and timing capture what makes drag racing one of the most exciting sports in the world. (Ed) I'll let the photos tell the story. When Dean asked my to put together a photo gallery or my favorites from 2009 I jumped at the chance. The trouble is he said only around 40 images, that was tough. I had 100 to begin with. But I picked this selection based on the fact that, first and foremost I really like them all, and then from there they might have a personal meaning or could be a poignant moment in drag racing as I see it, or maybe I just like the colors or the car. Also I am not confining this selection to just cars, I have enjoyed shooting, in my opinion, some of my best portraits so far. OK, so here goes....

This is one of many shots of Ken Tupper's spectacular engine failure at Phoenix at the start of the season, it wasn't shown much out of respect to Ken, but we are a year down the road, the 'Banana' is now back in black. I thought this shot was cool because it shows just how hot a fire can be.
