Here is my Top Fuel gallery! The kings of the sport. these shots below are from Seattle, Sonoma and Edmonton. There is nothing like the sound of 300mph dragster leaving the starting line standing 20 feet away.

Antron Brown made the transition from Pro Stock bike to Top Fuel look easy. He loved the bikes but this just blows him away. I love this shot because you can really get some understanding of the sheer air turbulance caused by 8,000 horsepower blowing through the headers.
2008 was a terrible year for Doug Herbert. He lost his two sons in a tragic car accident. If that was not bad enough, he then lost his multi-year Snap-On Tools sponsorship for 2009 and as a result has been sidelined this year. I know times are tough in the U.S. but come on, Snap-On can't afford to continue this long term partnership? Hard to believe. Photo taken of "Dougzilla" across track at Sonoma.

Perhaps the greatest Top Fuel team ever to be assembled, the U.S. Army dragster broke all records in 2008, including another Top Fuel Championship. The first photo is of Tony on qualifying shot at Seattle. A favourite "almost" night time photo of team Army
Brandon, the 'Bud Prince' at Sonoma.
A bit of a different burnout photo of Kalitta across track at Sonoma. The Kalitta's own a fleet of special cargo airliners. I was watching a movie this weekend called "Taking Chance" (a really moving story starring Kevin Bacon) and a Kalitta Air jet was on the tarmac during a scene at an airport. Shot at 1/320th of a second
Larry Dixon takes on Doug "Dougzilla" Herbert in Sonoma. This was shot by my wife from the stands during one of her first photo shoots at the races. Pretty damn good I'd say!

An interesting shot of "Hot" Rod Fuller at the 100' mark during qualifying in Sonoma.

Larry Dixon lights all 8 candles and hikes the front wheels up high during Friday nights qualifying session in Seattle
