Update April 3, 2009.................Friends,
Due to tough economic times, the Rapid Transit Top Alcohol dragster will not be travelling to the Division 2 event at Valdosta, Ga. this weekend. Until some good news breaks on the financial side of things, we will try to stay within 500 miles of the shop.

This will make our next event the Division 3 Event at Indianapolis, IN. (April 24 - 26). We would really like to had more passes to get the new car tuned up before that important event (last event to earn points for this years All-Stars), but we have to deal the cards we're played.

It also appears we need to wait and see if the nitro percentage reduction will make a meaningful improvement in parity once the summer air hits. So far, even the warmer races don't show much improvement.

Thanks for everything, and keep the faith.

February 21, 2009

Hi there, the year is just around the corner for the Rapid Transit TAD team. After a great year last year where we finished #3 in the TAD world championship (with a couple breaks it could have been #2 or possibling #1 but we won't go there). For 2009 we are looking for more corporate support to make a real run for the title, but we are still planning to run a full compliment of Divs and Nats.

Here is the big news

We picked up a new chassis up last week from Spitzer. It is a variation of our 2008 combination.
The first outing will be testing at Valdosta March 7-8.
Our first race will be the Gatornationals.

We'll talk to you hopefully just before Valdosta or just after.

Marty
