Race #4 in Division 1 from Maple Grove Raceway Readin Penn.

In the final results from the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event taking place this weekend at Maple Grove Raceway, a pair of Pennsylvania racers, defending division champion Doug Doll Jr. of Lititz and Eric Reiff of Boyertown, were among the race winners.
Doll, who made it to the late rounds here in May, had his best Northeast Division showing of the year today when he defeated Kingston, Ont., racer Al Kenny in the final in Super Comp.

Behind the wheel of his '88 Cutlass, Reiff earned the win in Super Street when he took out Cheektowaga, N.Y., runner Jeff Fisher.

Comp Eliminator featured the return of 1986 National Champion, Vinny Barone of Dix Hills, N.Y., to the winner's circle. In the final, Barone took out fellow New Yorker, Frank Aragona Jr. of Franklin Square.

In a battle of old era iron verses the new, the win in Super Stock went Joseph Santangelo II of Marlborough, Conn. Santangelo claimed victory behind the wheel of his '90 Camaro over the '69 Camaro of Thomasville, Pa., runner Marty Rinehart.

Stock Eliminator featured another Camaro shootout, with Russell Linke of Old Bridge, N.J., emerging victorious with his '86 Camaro over the '74 version of Leo Niedermeier Jr. of Monroe, Conn.

In Super Gas, Acton, Mass., racer Ray Sawyer used a 9.900 second run on his 9.90 dial-in to defeat defending division champ, Tom Stalba Jr., of Williamstown, N.J.

In Saturday's final eliminations in the Top Alcohol Dragster and Funny Car classes, Arthur Gallant and Bob Newberry claimed victories in their respective classes. Gallant, of Boxboro, Mass., earned his first win this year when he defeated Middlesex, N.J., racer Dave DeAngelis in the final round. In his final round bout, Newberry of Schenectady, N.Y., took out reigning division champion, Frank Manzo of Morganville, N.J.
