Kerunsky's new ride!
Calgary's Glen Kerunsky tested this past weekend at the Darlington event and was the quickest Pro Mod qualifying with a great 6.265 @224mph. His quickest and fastest ever.Quicker than both Stotts, Ashley, Ricky Smith, Chip King and others. More pics soon. Braid's Canso takes shape Recent photos reveal that all those GB rumors were just that. The new Canso should be out of the chassis shop any day now, as the owner is out "shopping for an audio/video system...hehe". There are many more surprises in store as the small block powered street legal piece comes together. We look forward to rolling chassis pics soon. The 2003 Canada West Doorslammer Association schedule
is comprised of eight points races along with one exhibition event.

In other Door Car news from across North America Courtesy of Division Three The first ever NHRA North Central Division Top Sportsman Champion will be determined by a racers best five finishes in his or her first eight events including up to two out-of-division races. Point awards will follow the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series as outlined in the NHRA rulebook. Top Sportsman will also be contested in the Southeast (Division 2) and South Central (Division 4) NHRA divisions. The class will follow current Top Sportsman rules. Each
Division 3 event will feature a qualified 32-car field with $1,200 posted
for the winner, $600 runner-up, $300 for 4th round finishers and $200
for 3rd round finishers. A number of major manufacturers have already
signed up for contingency awards with a complete posting to be announced
soon. NHRA Wally trophies will be presented to each event
winner. A year-end points fund will reward the top three finishers
with $2,000, a Top Sportsman Gold Card, NHRA Wally Division
Champion trophy and jacket to be presented to the champion at the annual
Land of the Winners Awards Banquet to be held January 17,
2004 in Indianapolis. The runner-up will pocket $1,000 and third-place
will receive $500. A bonus Top Sportsman Shootout, similar to the specialty races in NHRAs POWERade Drag Racing Series will be featured at Beech Bend Raceway Park on Saturday, August 23. The bonus race-within-a-race will match the seasons Top 8 qualifiers based on qualifying points counted up to the Beech Bend event. February 3, 2003
