Pfister and Murdoch photos.

The Canada West Doorslammers had their annual awards and Christmas banquet at the Best Western Mission Lodge / Monty's resturant. It was a very fun affair with over 75 members and quests on hand for food, drink and cash.

After dinner, bench racing and a cool 2005 dvd of all the MRP events for the DS clan by Larry Pfister, it was time for the awards. RJ Enterprises crowned Jeff Hill (accepted by Chris Murphy) as the "2005 Burnout King". Jeff in his nitrous assisted 55 Chevy did long smoking burnouts at every event he attended.

Here are the top ten in order from #10 to the 2005 champion.

#10 Steve Ellis

#9 Greg Anderson

#8 Terry Shuflita (two event winner)

#7 Rob Charlton

#6 Terry Spargo

#5 Layne Wooley

#4 Brian Kikel

#3 Don Murray (decided not to attend)

#2 Grant Howell

and the 2005 Chanmpion is Mike Bedsworth

After the cash was dolled out, The assoc, honoured Marcy and myself for the hard work (especially Marcy) put in to keeping the assoc. running strong. Next year looks very promising with as many as 8-10 events planned. No changes to the rules were made in the afternoon meeting held at the Captain's Cabin Pub.

The assoc. would like to thank all the sponsored who managed to make it out for the party (others had conflicting appointments) including new 2005 sponsors West Coast Polaris (Bill Bourdon and Wife Gail), RH Race Cars (Ryan and a couple co-workers), RJ Enterprises (Ray and Jan Bobrowski), TSC Performance Products (Bob Marshall), Charlton Automotive (Rob Charlton. Those not in attendance were B & B Tireland/Hoosiers Tires, Jet Equipment Canada, Pro Stock Performance, Prot Alberni DR Assoc., and Captains Cabin Pub.

Thank you to all for your support in 05 and we look forward to working with you in 2006!!!!
