Seattle

Herbert and Millican heating er up.

Team mates for 08. that is the word.

Skoal is back on the long skinny Prudhomme car. Bud is of course back with Bernstein racing.

Haven't heard much about Vandergriff for the 08 season. Hopefully UPS remains. Tony Shoemacher started to get hot on the Western swing for his run to the title.

Las Vegas

Alan Hartley and JR Todd at Vegas. Todd has moved on to the Lucas camp on a two car team. Hartley progressed this year to the point where he is a bonafied threat.

Dougzilla's Christmas colored car sticks out and is easily photographed. He will be a strong runner in 08.

Clay Millican is so close to being a serious contender in the NHRA. His performance really shows the disparity in the two sanctioning bodies. European champion Urs Erbacher hit sevens at Vegas when he qualified in the field. Is said to compete as a number of early races to start the 08 season

Pomona finals

The light for the finals was perfect and the cars were easy to shoot.

More of Herbert at Pomona.

Clay Millican and Mike Strasberg. Utah's Strasberg is a budget away from being a consistent 4.50 car.

Alan Hartley heating the hides. Scotty Cannon's last race in TF. He moves back to his root in Pro Mod.in 08

What can you say about the champ. Tony "Shoe" did what he did in 07. got the win and the title at the last race. He will be tough again in 08. Another car that is very photogenic

JR Todd and the Tuttle camp have split. Alan Bradshaw is the new shoe. David Grubnic is sponsorless to start the 08 season. A victim of the "Countdown" point system.

Todd launches hard. David Baca got to make a few laps in the last two weekends. The rust (RT's) was a bit evident.

Brandon Bernstein matched his 07 finish with another 3rd place result. "Hot Rod" Fuller wishes he could rerun the finals.

Larry Dixon coming right at you. Doug Kalitta had a year he would like to forget after a second place finish in 06.

Cory Mac will have Fram backing next season when he teams up with DSR. and finally, "Hot Rod" Fuller wishes he could rerun the finals.

Strasberg and Zizzo

The cool thing about shooting an IHRA race is all media has reasonable access to the action. Hense the cool behind the starting line action

Mike Strasberg ran only 266 in his #3 qualifying effort. Could have been a #1 effort with a 1320 run full pull. Bruce Litton final got his just rewards this year in the "I".

Foley and Cannon Sr. in a very cool side by side 80 foot shot. This was at 10:00pm Saturday night.

Doug Foley, Like Millican is going to the "N" for the08 season. No word on IHRA series r/u TJ Zizzo for 08. That team really wanted and needed the series championship. The first round loss at Rockingham cost the team well over $150,000
