Brandon's
fateful run . Here (above left) just off the starting line, things
appear normal. (above right), 200 feet out, both cars start to smoke
the tires and things go array. (left) The end result is the car going
over the wall after slamming hard into it on the track and straddling
it before coming to rest in the picture shown. Brandon will probably
be out for a couple month's with a fractured vertabra. Kenny will
be back in the seat for the time being. Get well soon Brandon!

Second
above, left to right. Kalitta against Herbert in qualifying. Shirley,
in the T-3 car. Her last appearance at her favourite track. Above,
left to right. Clay Millican with the wheels way up. The traction
was unbelievable this weekend. Dixon and Russell in Saturday's final
session of qualifying. Wheels way up also. Left, Tony Schumacher failed
to qualify after 90+ in a row. Yikes! A shakeup in the Shoe camp?
