The final race event of the year as the Job Rite Street legal race Friday night. The Saturday/Sunday Bracket, Doorslammer, CPSA race was washed out. The Street legal fFridays were a huge bright spot this season , as very few were rained out and you could usually count on 200 + cars on hand to grudge race. The final event Friday race included a few Pro Street cars as they were qualifying for the Sunday race. They were also on hand to try and better Glen Braid's 7.15 et that he ran the weekend before. No one was able to get a full lap, in so the et stands as a record until someone can better it. A nuumber of Alberta cars were also on hand as their season wound down a few weeks ago.

Thanks to all the racers who supported the Job Rite Street legal program and everyone loks forward to seeing even more cars out next season.

Garret Richards (top two photos ) was out in his Chevy Pickup trying to run a low seven, but could not run the number. Marcil Mandin (above), a Snap-on rep from Alberta was out to try and run in the 9's for the first time, but could not get hooked up.

Job Rite Friday Night Street Legal @ Mission Raceway Park.

A 7.15 and 7.20 this weekend by the Rock 101 team

The second to last Friday night street legal event was held under cool conditions but it

Rash's first pass was a centre hugging 8 flat

did not keep a couple of the top Pro Street guys away from running under the lights. In what had to be 0 feet of corrected air and track temperatures that were hovering around 70 degrees, Glen Braid proved his car can run a big number under marginal

The track did not have enough rubber down in the 1st session even with this big burnout

track conditions. He blazed the tires in session #1 under daylight hours and Rash Dhaliwal ran a centre line higging 8.00 @170+mph in his first hit. In the second outlaw session, Braid wanted to run before the dew got to the track, and track manager Along with the starting line crew did 50 feet of prep for the hitters. A couple of the ten second 5.0 litre went down the track before the big boys and it seemed to pay off as Braid went another low seven with a great 7.20 @ 192 mph. Rash was right behind him with his short wheel based monster turboed 'Stang and ran another centre line hugging pass, this time he went 7.91 @170+. The green Vette tried to run but clicked it off at 300 after rattling the tires. This was Glen Braid's last weekend of the year so he was really going for a run

This was one sweet run

quicker than 7.15 (7.16 is the current record). In the Last session of the night around 10:00PM when the track was very cold and the dew was previlent, Braid saved the best for last as he ripped down the track to the quickest pass in the CPSA's history, a 7.15 and just over 193 mph. WOW! Way to go Glen Steve, Grant Jay S. (for the tuning assistance) and all the crew. The 7.19 last week, a 7.20 and 7.15 this weekend under very cool conditions on a track that is not prepped to optimum conditions is both a testament to how good his car is, and to how good the track

Dhaliwal went 7.91 on this pass. there was dew on the windows. Very impressive

surface at Mission is even when the prep isn't set on kill. And Braid's best runs were in the supposed suspect right lane! Not so suspect I say.

The number says it all

Above and below, two huge smokers for the yellow 'Stang
